While the runway showcases what’s coming next in fashion, the streets display not only the future but also what’s on-trend right now.  So, if you’re looking to keep your wardrobe up-to-date, the world’s top street style stars have the inspiration you need.

Every season, these stylish ladies  and men  debut the latest and greatest fashion looks, and Spring/Summer 2019 was no exception. From Paris and Milan to London and New York, every fashion week from the month featured outstanding outfits and lust-worthy looks.

Here, we’ve rounded up the top street / high fashion style trends from the season for you to add to your shopping list.

Coloured Tartan

Leopard wasn’t the only popular print for the Spring/Summer ’19 show season.

Tartan also appeared on the streets of New York, London, Paris and Milan. Of course, in true fashion week style, the traditional print wasn’t worn subtly. It was donned all over in eye-catching colours by the fashion pack. Want to try the look for yourself? Pick up a tartan suit, jacket or pair of pants that features the classic pattern in unique and bold colours, such as red, blue, green and yellow.

Neo-Gothic

Are you ready to embrace your dark side?

If so you may like the street style stars of Spring/Summer 2019 Fashion Month and try a neo-gothic look. To wear the trend, follow their lead and pair an all-over black ensemble with on-trend pieces. Essentially, you can wear what you like, but remember to keep the overall vibe dark and moody with a chic twist. Also, consider adding a dark red lip for a sexy touch.

Bike Shorts with Blazers

The bike shorts were worn with blazers by many style-savvy showgoers this fashion month. Offering a fresh blend of sportswear and tailoring, the look was both striking and chic. Of course, while it may not be appropriate for either the office or the gym, the outfit is perfect for strutting the streets or attending Sunday brunch with your best friends. So, don’t be afraid to try it for yourself.

Animal Instincts

This season,  animal instincts take over with bold and wild prints. In particular, loud leopard print was a favourite amongst the fashionistas and appeared on a variety of garments, including pants, coats, dresses, suits, and more. To follow the lead of these chic ladies and unleash your own inner jungle cat, choose strong and striking designs with bold and bright colours. Alternatively, consider an all-over leopard print look with matching separates or a dress/jumpsuit. You can even add a leopard print bag or shoes if you’re feeling playful.

 Boiler Suits #ourfavooutfit

Utilitarian designs appeared in all the major fashion cities throughout this fashion month. Of course, one particular style stood out from the pack. Originally designed as a one-piece protective garment for manual labour, boiler suits are now as fashionable as they are functional. To rock the look for yourself, just pick the cut and colour that suits you best. These long-sleeved jumpsuits are available in a variety of fantastic styles. So, you won’t be short on choices.

Patchwork

Patchwork is no longer just a craft that your grandma enjoys. It’s also one of fashion’s latest trends. Spotted on the streets outside fashion shows from Paris to New York, patchwork appeared on dresses, jumpsuits, pants and more. As colourful as it is creative, the look sews together contrasting pieces of fabric to achieve an eclectic and eye-catching design. To rock the look yourself, allow your patchwork piece to be the focus of your outfit by teaming it with simple, block-coloured garments and accessories.

Some more Fashion Tips !!

#1 Embrace Your Shape

Remember your unique worth. You’re a lot more than your body. Think about your values, your interests, all those people in your life that love you greatly. There’s so much to be excited about!

#2 Don’t be too matchy matchy.

Strive to wear colors that enhance one another rather than "match" in the traditional sense.

#3 Show skin selectively

Don't give people too many things to look at all at once.

Sexy Classy outfit

#4 Make sure your pants match your shoe height

The biggest mistake women  and men make is wearing pants that aren't the right length for their shoes

#5 Wear trends in an age-appropriate way.

You never want to seem like you're uncomfortable with your age and trying to look younger

#6 Make a List

Not of what you want to buy, but of the 10 fave items in your closet. This will help you zero in on pieces that mesh with what you own (or remind you that you never actually wear big floral prints).

*. Despite what it says on the tag, cashmere is best washed by hand. To dry it, use a salad spinner, which releases excess water in seconds.

*. Use white wine to remove red wine stains.

*. Wash new jeans twice before taking them to the tailor. Why? Because jeans will always shrink in length when washed.

*. To stop angora or mohair from shedding, fold the garment and place it into a zip-top bag and freeze it for at least three hours.

*. Remove odors from vintage or thrift clothing by spritzing them with a mixture of one part vodka, two parts water.

*. Remove white deodorant marks from a garment by gently rubbing the protective foam used on hangers against the fabric.”

Jonathan Simkhai, designer

*. If you get an oil stain on your favorite handbag, coat the mark with baby powder and let it stand overnight. By morning, the stain should be gone. If a bit still remains, repeat the process until the stain is completely gone.

*. “If you don’t have time to try on jeans in the store, try the Neck Method: You can determine your size by placing the waistline of the jeans around the diameter of your neck. If the waistline of the pant comfortably meets at back of your neck, then the jeans will fit.

— Sarah Ahmed,

*. Cut down your closet by 25% by asking yourself this one question: “If I were shopping right this second, would I buy this?” If the answer’s no, out it goes. — Melanie Charlton

*Never put your swimwear in the washing machine, and always hand dry. The machine will damage the suit and it will lose its elasticity. The only exception: At the end of the summer or vacation, wash your swimwear in lingerie washing bags on the gentle cycle with a bit if Drift or Woolite. But only after many wears.

 —Shoshanna Gruss, Designer

* If you don’t feel like trying on a dress but still want to see where the hem will hit you, align the shoulder seam exactly with your shoulder bone (not your collarbone).

*. Re-Purpose old or thrift sweaters and blankets by using them to reupholster a throw pillow, a chair seat or cover a stool.

*. “Use hairspray to remove a lipstick stain.

– Kaelen Haworth, designer, KAELEN

*. Dressy occasions aren’t the time to play with trends, so know your silhouette and stick to it to always look your best. Perfect example: Sofia Vergara knows she looks good in mermaid dresses, and always chooses variations of the shape on red carpets.

*. “Never put a garment on immediately after ironing, as this can actually cause new wrinkles to form. Instead, let it sit for five minutes to set the press.”

*. Blot, don’t rub, when you spill something on your clothes. Wiping or rubbing will actually further ingrain the stain into the weave.

*. “Panty lines are not okay! Every woman should invest in nude, seamless underwear.

 — Giuliana Rancic, HSN designer
